Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to feel confident before your first tour with us.

Your daily fee covers all meals and snacks freshly prepared by Kids Gourmet Food (KGF) in their kitchen and delivered daily to Little Woods, nappies and wipes, sunscreen and hats, plus all learning materials, incursions and centre events. There are no hidden extras.

We are a small, family-owned service inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach. That means small group sizes, consistent educators, child-led inquiry, generous outdoor time and a genuine partnership with every family.

We strongly encourage it. A tour lets you see the rooms, meet our educators and ask questions before deciding whether Little Woods is the right fit for your family, with no pressure to enrol.

Yes. Our Woodland Learners (3–6) room runs a dedicated school-readiness program covering early literacy, numeracy, self-help skills, social confidence and the executive function skills children need for kindergarten.

Yes. Families can join the waitlist at any time, including during pregnancy. Register your interest and we'll be in touch as suitable places become available for your preferred room and start date.

Yes. We offer a gentle, staged orientation with short visits before your child's first full day. A key educator becomes your family's primary contact so trust can build with children and parents alike.

You'll receive daily digital updates with photos, meals, sleeps and learning stories, and a proper conversation with your child's educator at pick-up. Families are always welcome inside the rooms.

Ask about educator-to-child ratios, staff retention, how the curriculum is planned, what meals are served, and how the centre responds when things go wrong. We are happy to walk you through all of ours on a tour.

Families can apply for the Child Care Subsidy through Services Australia before their child starts care. Services Australia determines each family's eligibility and subsidy amount based on their circumstances.

Commonly required information includes child and parent or guardian details, emergency contacts, identity and immunisation records, authorised nominees, and any relevant medical, allergy or dietary information. Our team will guide you through what is needed.

Places depend on availability in each room. If your preferred days are unavailable, you can join the waitlist and our team will contact you as suitable places become available.
